Millar’s script gives us an insight into the suffering that Bonnie has endured in her life, as well as providing flashbacks to fonder memories. However, in this imaginative story, the answer is not simply “Heaven” or “Hell”. The basis of the plot is a fairly simply question – when we die, where do we go? At the start of the issue we see the protagonist, Bonnie Black, as an elderly lady pondering exactly that. A sniper is on the loose in Minneapolis, but who is this sniper and what is going on? As the story progresses we find out. The comic starts with a shocking opening that pulls you into the story straight away.

The first issue of Reborn also comes with multiple variant covers from top artists from around the world, including big names like Todd Macfarlane, Jock and Frank Cho. Millar and Capullo make the perfect team, with the writing style of Millar and fantastic art by Capullo gelling well together. Greg Capullo took a break from drawing Batman to do the art for Reborn, so fans have been keen to see what he has been up to. Apart from a few preview sketches and lots of excitement spread on Twitter by both parties, the story for this new comic series has been kept fairly quiet. Reborn is the much anticipated Millarworld collaboration between writer Mark Millar and artist Greg Capullo, published by Image Comics.
